IBF Standards Training Scheme (IBF-STS)
A programme accredited under the IBF Standards is eligible for funding under the IBF Standards Training Scheme (IBF-STS), subject to all eligibility criteria being met. Candidates are advised to assess the suitability of the programme and its relevance to participants’ business activities or job roles.

Financial Training Scheme (FTS)
A programme recognised under the Financial Training Scheme (FTS) and is eligible for FTS claims is subject to all eligibility criteria being met. This in no way represents an endorsement of the quality of the training provider and programme and participants are advised to assess the suitability of the programme and its relevance to participants’ business activities or job roles.
The FTS is available to eligible entities based on the prevalent funding eligibility, quantum and caps. FTS claims may only be made for recognised programmes with specified validity period. Please refer to www.ibf.org.sg for more information.

Nicholas Tan
CMT, CFTENicholas Tan is a veteran financial markets practitioner with over three decades of experience spanning institutional forex trading, brokerage, and technical analysis education. He is currently an Investment Specialist at UOB Kay Hian, where he also served as an Associate Director for Leveraged Foreign Exchange (LFX) and Contract for Differences (CFD) products from 2018 to 2023. In these roles, he has been responsible for promoting complex trading instruments and facilitating client trading activities.
Prior to his tenure at UOB Kay Hian, Nicholas spent 13 years as a Forex trader within the banking sector. He rose through the ranks to become Vice President and Principal USD/DMK Trader at Bank Brussels Lambert (Singapore), where he engaged in proprietary trading and acted as a market maker for the sales team. His institutional experience also includes roles as Head of the New York Shift Team at Chase Manhattan Singapore and FX Dealer at Bank Nationale De Lavoro. This extensive background in the fast-paced FX marketplace provides him with practical, real-world insights that he integrates into his teaching.
As an educator, Nicholas has been teaching since 2005. He is the author of two popular books, “Handbook for Forex Trading” (a local non-fiction bestseller) and “Handbook for CFD Trading.” He has developed and delivered wealth management and technical analysis modules for private institutes, the Technical Analysts Society of Singapore, and various financial institutions. He is a familiar face in the financial media, having appeared on TV programs like Channel NewsAsia's Money Mind to discuss retail forex trading.
Nicholas holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the National University of Singapore (NUS). He possesses two highly regarded technical analysis designations: Chartered Market Technician (CMT) from the CMT Association (USA) and Certified Financial Technician (CFTE) from the International Federation of Technical Analysts (IFTA). He is also an ACTA-certified trainer.
